6/24/07 - Camp and getting home

Wow...so I'm back from camp and what a week it was. I'm writing this at 3:47 in the morning because I went to bed as soon as I got home at 1:00 on Saturday and woke up at about 1:00 in the morning and couldn't go back to sleep. I'll probably try to get back to sleep pretty soon because I have another full day ahead of me. I've got some grass to cut, including my own, we need to pick up our dog and I think we might try to go see 300 based on recommendations from Aaron and Earnest while at camp. It is showing at the Tandy 10 so I'm a little leary about going over there.

So while I was at camp, I had made a decision to try to lose 5 pounds. I didn't think it would be that difficult considering that the food isn't all that great and they offer salad at every meal which is simply lettuce and tomatoes with choice of dressing: Italian, Thousand Island, Ranch and Fat Free Ranch. Some meals I was really hungry, so I ate a little bit more, but other meals I either skipped or simply ate a reasonably sized salad. On top of that, I don't even know how many calories I was burning daily considering outside of meals, I didn't sit down from around 8:00 in the morning until 7:00 at night. Most of the time in between was spent officiating games, playing camp games and then basketball/volleyball/etc during free time. Well, the results are in and I was a bit saddened when I first got home. The first thing I did was to weigh and I had only lost 2-3 pounds. When I woke up this morning at 1:00 I weighed again, having not eaten and I had lost 6 pounds. So taking an average and other calculations, I'm satisfied with the results.

So now I'm going to try to setup my rss feed again and get it hooked up to facebook so that my posts can be ported over with minimal effort on my part. If anyone knows of an application that does this already, I'd love to know of it. Other than that, I think that's all I've got, I'm sure there is more but honestly, I'm still pretty tired from last week.
